Throwback Cheese Plate

Throwback Brewery is a non-traditional, laid-back, chill-out type of establishment.

Located in North Hampton, NH, it’s a farm gone rogue; offering farm fresh beer and delicious food from local ingredients.

Rustic inside and out, and yet comfortable, the views are relaxing, humble, and peaceful. Dine in, dine out, just dine.

Great spot for kids; dogs welcome too- at least outside, and are served complimentary water bowls.

Recipes- September 2021

What to do with ripened bananas besides make bread…let them eat cake. Sure it’s a similar density, but if you add frosting, well, you’ve got cake. Check out whatmollymade.com; healthy banana cake. She’s got a frosting recipe, but if you want something different, go for a streusel topping (rolled oats, light brown sugar, cinnamon/cane sugar combo, and a dash of maple syrup. Sprinkle over top and bake. Mix a small amount of almond milk with confectionary sugar to drizzle over the top once it’s cooled. Can’t wait to try more of Molly’s recipes!

Mediterranean Stir-Fry

Tangy; I’m not kidding. This recipe is a must-do; http://kelseynixon.com – Kelsey’s Mediterranean Chicken Stir-Fry.

Caught Kelsey on an episode of Rachel Ray in 2020 and have loved this recipe ever sense.

You’ve got olives, peppers and onion, garlic of course, but what really hits home is the lemon juice and zest. Hits the taste buds in the best way possible.

I paired with Farro and my overdone version of a garden salad (never can have enough walnuts and veges).

Caprese Burger

Inspired by the fab burger we had at Duffy’s Tavern and Grill, Kennebunk, ME http://duffysmaine.com

Turkey burger seasoned with Stonewall Kitchen carmelized onion mustard, all-purpose seasoning, and olive oil (for salads and marianating).

Add-ons: Guacamole, Pre-sliced Mozzarella, tomato, balsamic reduction.

Don’t have any big tomatoes… slice some cherry tomatoes.

Heat some balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan until it thickens and becomes sweeet!

Use a wrap, or half a wrap like I do. I like Josephs Flax, Oat Bran, & Whole Wheat

Buy guacamole or do what I do; make it from scratch- very easy. Find a recipe you like online – http://myrecipes.com guacamole. My recipe doesn’t seem to be online anymore; I use avocado, lime juice, minced garlic, salt, cumin, and red onion. If I have cilantro I may throw it in, but it’s not a deal breaker if I don’t use it.
